Your Great Name

I drive quite a bit, so I listen to a grandiose amount of music. Mostly Contemporary Christian accompanied by the occasional techno hip hop (because I'm cool.) Recently, because of this, I've started sincerely listening to every single word and analyzing the overall message in the song. The latest song that has caught my attention is "Your Great Name." And I'm going to pick it apart for you!

• Lost are saved, find their way, At the sound of Your great Name
  
• Those that are in Christ find their way. Do you feel like you're driving through life with no access to a road map? Let Christ be your road map.

• All condemned feel no shame, At the sound of Your great Name
  
• THERE. IS. NO. CONDEMNATION. IN. CHRIST. JESUS. AMEN! Feel dirty? Feel unworthy? Feel like there's no way you could ever go to church? Feel like your life is in such shambles that you would only be judged if you were to worship with a fellow group of believers? Guess what?!? JOIN THE CLUB. We have a tendency to think our sin is just the worst of all. I have news for ya, precious one ... He came and died that ALL would have abundant life, and that includes you. When you focus solely on Him, the judgements of this hateful world will fall to the way side. You're ALWAYS welcome in His house. He made you, He loves you, and there's NOTHING you can do to stop Him. 

• Every fear has no place, At the sound of Your great Name
  
• Ohhhh, chill bumps. I can't even count on two hands the fears that I have about things. There isn't any place for fear in His house, because even though things might not turn out to our liking ... they always turn out for the good of those who love Him. Your fears have been taken care of. Trust that His will is perfect. 

• The enemy he has to leave, At the sound of Your great Name
  
• THERE IS NO PLACE FOR EVIL IN HIS HOUSE. Do you feel like the devil is attacking you? Take your thoughts and shelve them ... empty yourself of YOURSELF and allow Him to fill that space. There isn't a place for the enemy there. Satan will be banished from you. How cool is that?

• All the weak find their strength, At the sound of Your great Name

• He is strong in your weakness, and His strength is your strength! This transformation is one that is really fun to experience. Be ready to gain strength, because it's coming ... and it's larger than life.

• Hungry souls receive grace, At the sound of Your great Name
  
• Grace - when we do get what we don't deserve. Mercy - when we DON'T get what we DO deserve. Filling your hungry soul with everything but the living God? The move towards His face with provide you with His abounding grace.

• The fatherless they find their rest, At the sound of Your great Name
  
• Did you grow up without a family? Become estranged from your family? Maybe your parents have passed. That loneliness for family is satisfied in Him.

• Sick are healed and the dead are raised, At the sound of Your great Name
  
• Well ... this speaks for itself.
