About Me

Well, hey there! Fancy seein' you here ;). Allow me to introduce myself ...

I'm a 26 year Alabama woman that has lived in Tuscaloosa all of her 26 years. I recently moved to Birmingham, Alabama to take a job in pharmaceutical sales that I absolutely love.  I have recently begun to love (obsess over) running. I run at least 20 miles a week and lots of times more. Most of my spare time is spent either blogging, teaching myself to cook, blogging about teaching myself to cook, running, going to church, and spending time with family and friends. I'm on a mission to better myself and grow in the Lord in the process. Working on my "Proverbs 31" you might say.

To sum up my reason for subjecting all of my ramblings to the criticism of this world, I will say this: My calling in this life I've been trusted to live is to encourage and empower people, to be a light in a very dark world, to love people simply because I was first loved, and to help people understand that their weaknesses are some of their best assets because in them, their Maker is strong.

It's about release. It's about love. It's about a power that is VERY REAL and is what we should be relying on daily, instead of our miniscule efforts. It's about letting God be God. It's about no longer looking at God as a part of our lives, but understanding that He IS our lives. Darkness can't touch Him. Evil can't tempt Him. He doesn't relent in His pursuit of our hearts.

I have fantastic parents, step parents, grand parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and five of the most amazing little sisters. My grandmothers were both my best friends and taught me to be an independent woman strong in faith, family, friends, and foundation. This family that I'm so blessed to be a part of is stocked to the brim with the strongest women and men in the land. They are wonderful examples for all of us to look up to. My Nana and Papa have an amazing marriage and what an example it is of a "forever" love. My mama would do anything for my sister and I. She'd so strong headed and makes me laugh constantly. My step mama Melanie has taught me so much about life, too. She's SO practical and such a great mama to my sisters. Bless her heart, I'm not sure how she's not constantly exhausted from running to and fro hauling kids from soccer to play practice and back again. My dad and I have always had a very special relationship. My parents divorced when I was 18 months old and have since spent nearly every other weekend visiting him. He sacrificed so much to be with me and has been a driving force behind my successes. I love you, pops. My little sisters, Courtney 21, Emily 16, Chloe 10, Cameron & Caroline 8, are all such blessings. They keep me laughing and inspire me to be better everyday.

All in all, I have been SO blessed in this life and I am so thankful to the Lord that I have been so fortunate. I invite you to follow in this life journey with me. I'm hoping to make you laugh, inspire you, make you think, deliver a message of hope from my Savior, and most of all just have a great time learning about this crazy "life" thing. Trust me, with my record of unlucky misfortunes, you're sure to get in a laugh or two. So follow me. Let's live out loud! :)
